1st General Assembly (12-13 September 2006)

After launching its vision in May 2006, ETP ZEP continued working on finalising the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) and Strategic Deployment Document (SDD). Both give guidance to R&D needed to make zero emission fossil fuel power plants an economically viable option. Near final versions of SRA and SDD were presented to, and discussed with all stakeholders at the General Assembly of ETP ZEP, held on the 12th and 13th of September 2006 in Brussels, Belgium.

Objectives of the General Assembly 2006:

  • Review and validate the Strategic Research Agenda and the Strategic Deployment Document for Zero Emission Fossil Fuel Power Plants
  • Demonstrate motivation and commitment of public & private partners to engage in a strategic partnership to accelerate development and deployment of ZEP-technology
  • Help the Technology Platform to monitor its own progress and define the work plan for the next period.

Target Audience

ETP ZEP invited representatives from all stakeholders in this technology area to be present at the General Assembly, designed to obtain involvement of high-level participants from the spheres of research, science and technology, industry and policy-making from all over Europe. The event should be of special value for those interested in defining the way forward for the area 'Zero Emission Fossil Fuel Power Plants' in the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).
